Just crossed Pacific and ready for more.
New rigging, plenty of gear and ready to go. Australian registered.
She is available for viewing in the Brisbane River.
Orianne
is a sturdy steel cutter, a seaworthy single chine design by
the famous dutch designer Van de Stadt. She is a proven offshore
boat in the tradition of a Joshua or a Damien II. She was professionally
built in France and about 70 boats have been built to those plans.
She would be a comfortable and practical boat for a circumnavigation,
an expedition to the southern ocean or for more relaxed cruising
in the beautiful waters of the Coral Coast.
Orianne
is currently ready for sea, having just crossed the Pacific Ocean
from Mexico to Australia between July and November 2011 with
a crew of four. She can sleep six, but would be more appropriate
for a couple or a young family with a child. Despite her size,
she is easy to sail single handled with all lines led aft, autopilot
and wind vane. Orianne is flush deck with center cockpit. The
main cabin is open plan, giving incredible volume inside. The
smaller aft cabin can sleep two and is also the rough weather
steering station. She is in excellent condition due to the fact
that prior to the crossing she spent eight years of her life
on the hard in a boat yard in the Mexican desert. She also was
extensively refitted between March and July 2011 in preparation
for the crossing. She is now available in Australia, having
been duly imported and registered. All importation taxes and
duty have been paid.
She is available for viewing in the
Brisbane River.
